How Commercial Cleaning Engagements Are Planned
An engagement has four stages. None of them is a surprise visit. You should be able to see the scope before the first clean and change it when the building changes.
The same sequence covers a standing program and a one-off project. The project simply ends at stage four instead of becoming a weekly review.
01
Discuss your facility
Tell us how the building is used, which hours are real, which rooms draw complaints, and which rooms are forbidden. A written description of the property is enough to start; photographs can be provided later if they would help. Security rules belong in this conversation, not after a crew is standing at a locked door.
02
Define the cleaning scope
Areas, tasks, frequencies, consumables, and exclusions go on one document. Specialist work is named with links you can recognise from the site: for example carpet or post-construction. You comment before the scope is treated as agreed.
03
Build the service schedule
Days and times follow occupancy and access. A night program, a day porter, and a periodic floor or glass visit can coexist. They should not share a single unnamed hour. Holiday rules are written here.
04
Ongoing service and quality review
Visits follow the list. Notes name the room and the date. A miss against the list is corrected. A wish that was never on the list is a change. Reviews are dull on purpose. Dull means the standard is visible.
Supplies and equipment
Some facilities already buy soap, towel, and liner. Others want those items inside the cleaning scope. Equipment for floors and glass is discussed when that work is included. The document records the choice. Zenqly does not imply a warehouse of branded machines.
The same four stages apply if you are comparing cities. A Toronto lock-up, a Calgary quadrant building, and a Vancouver fit-out change the facts inside the first conversation. They do not change the order. Read the city page for the local constraint, then use this sequence. If a stage is skipped, the later argument is usually about something that was never written down.
You can stop after a project. Post-construction work ends when the agreed pass is done. A standing program continues into the review. Say which one you want when the scope is drafted, so the schedule has an end date or a rhythm, not both by accident.
If a surface might be damaged by the wrong product, identification comes before the clean. That applies to stone, finished wood, and clinical product lists on the medical office page.
Start with the facility conversation
The form asks for building type, city, and schedule preference so the first reply is already about your site.
